I saw this ad that was like

"that app you vibe coded is being used in every office in the country"

And then the guy goes "wow! Am I a millionaire now?"

The problem with this is I don't think any company would pay for some vibe coded app if they can just develop their own. Vibe coding implies little time and effort.

I'm learning emacs and I ran a program that looped a message forever because I figured I could just ctrl + c in the emacs terminal. Either I couldn't or the program ruined everything forever...

I was trying it out in terminal mode (emacs -nw) so that mightve played a role??

I have the intense urge to murder everyone at Apple who went through with the idea of Activation Lock.

Which IMO they likely would be! Because Mac does not inspire curiosity about computers. It's a black box. When you learn about computers by using an Apple device you don't learn computers you learn Apple devices.

This video is a neat perspective on the effects of short form content that I haven't considered. The choice to pick between #emacs and #vim is much more difficult because although emacs features look really cool being part of the cult of vim also sounds really cool

I think the effect advertising has on food cravings is insane. Like how are you supposed to focus on eating healthy when youtube serves you a pizza ad and then an ad for a medical weightloss product? Thank God for #adblock
